Welcome to the C2GO Newsletter 28th November 2019

This week we ran our very first Level 4 Pilates Training in London which has been a huge undertaking for myself, Kelly and Tom Waldron. I recognise that many Fitness Professionals and Pilates teachers are interested in working in clinical settings alongside physios and oesteos, and the Level 4 provides this education.

Once the Level 3 qualification is completed and you have 6 months of teaching Pilates under your belt you may wish to specialise in human movement, screening, analysis and biomechanics within the Pilates framework.

This is extremely exciting news for Fitpros who are looking to specialise and take their skills into the clinical settings. 121 Pilates definitely requires very different communication and teaching skills  but once mastered can be extremely rewarding.

Another area I am passionate and interested in is mental health awareness, and the part Group Exercise can play in mental health.

How many  Fitpros struggle with mental health issues?

Teaching can be immensely stressful day in and day out plus many of our class members will also be struggling with mental health.  I do believe that being trained and educated in mental health awareness can make a huge impact on our profession and help our clients in 2020.

We hope to offer the Level 2 and Level 3 Mental Health Awareness courses in 2020 and I would welcome your thoughts and comments on Group Exercise and Mental Health. It’s a big subject but starting conversations and talking to Fitpros about it can only be helpful.
