Introduction

This qualification equips learners with the knowledge and skills to plan, deliver, and supervise safe and effective group training sessions.

Course Content

Throughout the qualification, learners will cover:

• Anatomy, physiology, and nutrition and their relevance to exercise and fitness.
• Health and safety in the group training environment.
• Techniques to support exercise adherence and promote a healthy lifestyle.
• Planning, instructing, and supervising safe and effective group training sessions.
• Professionalism in group training.
• Personal and professional development.
• Delivering exceptional customer service.

Entry Requirements

• Prior experience in group training classes is highly recommended.
• The course requires physical participation, so a reasonable level of fitness is necessary.
• Learners should have basic communication skills (reading, writing, discussing, and presenting) at Level 2.

Qualification Structure

Learners must complete four mandatory units and at least one optional unit. Both optional units may be completed if desired.
