  • Health and safety for outdoor group fitness classes

☀️☀️When conducting outdoor fitness classes, ensuring the health and safety of participants is of utmost importance. ☀️☀️

Here are some guidelines to follow to create a safe and enjoyable experience:

☀️Venue Inspection: Before conducting the class, inspect the outdoor area for potential hazards such as uneven terrain, rocks, roots, or other obstacles.

☀️Weather Considerations: Monitor weather conditions and avoid extreme temperatures, especially during hot summer days.

☀️Hydration: Encourage participants to bring water bottles and take regular water breaks during the class.

☀️Sun Protection: Remind participants to apply sunscreen before the class and wear appropriate clothing that provides protection from the sun.

☀️Proper Footwear: Encourage participants to wear appropriate footwear for the outdoor environment.

☀️First Aid Kit: Keep a well-stocked first aid kit on hand.

☀️Emergency Plan: Have a clear emergency plan in place in case of any injuries or medical emergencies.

☀️Instructor Qualifications: Ensure that you are certified, insured and trained to teach the specific activities involved.

    ☀️Proper Warm-Up and Cool-Down: Include a thorough warm-up and cool-down in each class.

☀️Injury and Health History: Request participants to inform you of any injuries or health conditions they may have before the class.
