Glute Activation Focus.
Strengthening the glutes are key in regards to lower back pain and a weak lumbar spine, so here are focus ideas and how to incorporate them into your classes this week.
Are You Using Mini Bands? So cheap, effective and portable
GLUTE ACTIVATION
Standing and Travelling – monster walks/ side walks/squat external rotation/squat jacks/lateral lunge/standing lateral raise/ standing hip extension
Side Lying – side plank clams/side kick/front kick/banded circles
All Fours – Donkey kicks/fire hydrant/hip extension/hip extension and abductions
Banded Plank – Side taps/hip extension/external rotation
Banded Bridge – mini band glute bridge/bridge abductions/Single leg bridge
Banded table tops
Banded ham curls.
There are so many exercises you can do with your mini bands in FP to activate the glutes, here are just a few 🙂
