    A NEW 5 Minute Body Scan Meditation Script and Reading 
    I got a lot of positive feedback about last week 5 minute script around the SUMMER SOLSTICE so I have designed another for you.

    Find a comfortable position, either lying down on a mat or sitting in a chair with your back straight and supported. Take a moment to settle into your body and allow yourself to relax.

    Begin by bringing your attention to your breath. Take a deep breath in, feeling your abdomen expand, and slowly exhale, letting go of any tension or stress. Continue to breathe deeply and naturally throughout the meditation.
    Now, shift your focus to the sensations in your body. Start by bringing your awareness to your toes. Notice any sensations, such as warmth, coolness, tingling, or tension. Simply observe these sensations without judgment or the need to change anything.

    Gradually move your attention up through your feet, ankles, calves, and knees, scanning each area of your body. Notice any sensations, any areas of tightness or relaxation. Take your time as you move through each body part, acknowledging whatever you discover.

    Continue scanning up through your thighs, hips, pelvis, and lower back. Observe any sensations or feelings that arise, whether they are pleasant or uncomfortable. Maintain a sense of curiosity and non-judgment as you explore your body.

    Now, bring your attention to your abdomen, chest, and upper back. Notice the rise and fall of your breath, feeling the gentle expansion and contraction in this area. Be aware of any sensations or movements as you breathe.

    Shift your focus to your hands, wrists, forearms, and elbows. Observe any sensations, any tightness or relaxation you may experience. Allow yourself to fully immerse in the present moment, fully connected with your body.

    Move your attention up through your upper arms, shoulders, and neck. Notice any sensations, any areas of tension or release. Soften any tightness you may feel and let your awareness bring a sense of ease to these areas.

    Finally, bring your attention to your head, face, and scalp. Observe any sensations, any areas of tension or relaxation. Let go of any holding or tightness in these areas, allowing your face and scalp to relax completely.

    Take a moment to scan your entire body as a whole, from head to toe. Notice how it feels as a unified whole, without focusing on any specific part. Embrace the sense of presence and awareness in your body.

    When you’re ready, take a deep breath in, filling your lungs completely, and slowly exhale, letting go of any remaining tension. Gently open your eyes, maintaining a sense of calm and presence as you transition back into your day.
    Remember, you can return to this body scan practice whenever you feel the need to reconnect with your body, release tension, and cultivate a sense of mindfulness.
