Here is a script for a 5-minute meditation that you can use to end your Fitness Pilates class:
[Start by finding a comfortable seated position with your back straight and your feet firmly planted on the ground.]
Inhale deeply, feeling your belly expand, and exhale slowly, feeling your belly contract. Continue to breathe deeply and slowly, allowing each breath to calm and center you.
Now, bring your attention to the physical sensations in your body. Begin at the crown of your head and scan down through your body, noticing any areas of tension or discomfort. Without judgment or criticism, simply observe these sensations and allow them to be.
As you continue to breathe deeply and slowly, visualize a warm, healing light emanating from your heart center. This light fills your body with warmth and positive energy, soothing any areas of tension and promoting relaxation.
As you bask in this warm, healing light, bring your attention to your thoughts. Without judgment or criticism, observe any thoughts that arise and allow them to pass without engaging with them.
Return your focus to your breath, inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly. Imagine that with each exhale, you are releasing any negative thoughts, emotions, or physical tension.
Take a moment to express gratitude for your body and the effort it put forth during your Pilates class. Appreciate your body for all that it allows you to do, and recognize the importance of taking care of it through exercise and self-care.
Finally, take a deep breath in and slowly exhale. Open your eyes and take a moment to adjust to your surroundings.
